BloomBot is an all-wheel drive robot designed to create large-scale land art. It has 6 tubes that can be filled with different types of seeds to plant flowers, grains of rice, or other types of plants. It is capable of climbing a 40 degree incline under full load. This project was built with an artist who currently lives up north, and I don't know its current state. The mechanical design is pretty robust, but it could definitely use some improvements.
The most valuable lesson I learned while building this robot was how to be realistic throughout the design process. In fact, the robot above is a watered-down version of the initial idea, which was not feasible as a college student with a limited budget. Here's the initial concept, with a rather gratuitous render:
